We believe in stewarding donations and support to create opportunity for individuals and families with special needs toengage with their goals, promote physical and emotional health and promote inclusion the larger communities.
The Magic Paintbrush Project was started in 2006 as an idea to help support families with special needs. Since our first session, our organization, Life Is Washable, Inc., has seen substantial growth in all of our programs, and the changes have reflected the needs of the families we serve. Since we began, over 50,000 participants have connected with us.
Much like the leaves on the trees, “The Project” is seeing a bright and colorful change, with a new name “createABLE”. There have been many changes to the supports and services provided to individuals and families with developmental disabilities. Responsively, our organization will continue to provide opportunities for families to be able to engage creatively with their goals and community. Life Is Washable, Inc. dba CreateABLE will continue to provide sessions which use creative materials and programming to complement services and supports for individuals & families with a special needs diagnosis.
Our new name reflects our wider focus on the opportunities which our organization can bring to families with special needs in our communities.
Every contribution makes an impact on our program and enables our organization to continue to engage our community with connections and imagination.
We have an ongoing “Wish List” supplies (Bleach and paper towels), office materials (paper, file folders, toner) Please contact our office for a list of our current needs! (We cannot accept donations of paint or arts and crafts materials. For the safety of those we serve we purchase specific materials and paints that we are familiar with and are designed to be used in our workshops.)
